Children and families returning to INMED’s Family & Youth Opportunity Center after winter break were treated to a bright, freshly painted interior, some new furnishings and a much-needed storage closet. The mini-renovation projects executed at the Center was a New Year’s gift from a group of industrious volunteers led by CyrusOne, a leading global data center REIT (real estate investment trust), and HITT Contracting, who arrived before dawn on a cold winter’s morning in late December for an annual employee volunteer day of service.

“At a time when most organizations are winding down for the holidays, these volunteers renovated and improved our functionality in ways that we could not readily afford,” noted INMED Opportunity Center Executive Director Cecilia Capece.  “They sanded, stained, painted, steamed, waxed, wired, caulked, plumbed, created tables and installed a storage closet. When our staff, students and program participants returned to the Opportunity Center, they were amazed by this heartfelt gesture.”
