Thankful Thursday
INMED and our families are thankful for what popped up in the parking lot of INMED’s Family & Youth Opportunity Center last Friday. Loudoun Hunger Relief organized its first Pop-Up Food Pantry to bring free nonperishable foods and fresh produce to low-income families who can’t get to its main food pantry in Leesburg. Families from our Center were thrilled with the wide variety of healthy, delicious foods available. The pantry tables were manned by volunteers from Pearson Smith Realty – a Best of Loudoun firm.
The pop-up pantries are the brainchild of Jennifer Montgomery, executive director of Loudoun Hunger Relief, to distribute more food out into low-income communities of Loudoun. Follow Loudoun Hunger Relief on Facebook and Twitter: @LoudounHunger. Follow Pearson Smith Realty at @PearsonSmithRealty .
