Thankful Thursday
We are extremely grateful for the donors that fund INMED’s Healthy Families Loudoun program, a nationally recognized home visiting program model designed to work with overburdened families who are at-risk for adverse childhood experiences, including abuse or neglect. INMED offers in-home educational and support services to pregnant women, teens and families with young children. Our family support professionals provide intensive case management to each family to give their children the best possible start in life and to ensure children are raised in healthy, safe and nurturing environments.
In the past 3 months, INMED has served 40 families with 178 home visits, case management and a broad range of standardized assessments designed to identify potential risks early and link families to the appropriate local resources before those risks result in instability and crisis. Our family support workers also made a total of 210 referrals to other appropriate health, social, educational, vocational, legal and crisis services.
Special thanks to the following donors for their support:
- Virginia Department of Social Services
- Loudoun County (regional organizations funding)
- Loudoun County Community Development Block Grant
- Loudoun County Promoting Safe and Stable Families initiative
- TJX Foundation
