INMED Family & Youth Opportunity Center Programs Director Maria Vasquez (left) made a special presentation at the recent inaugural P.A.S.T.A. (Peers and Students Taking Action) awards banquet. Maria recognized P.A.S.T.A.’s middle school math tutors with certificates of appreciation from INMED staff, families and children. These fine young men have devoted every Saturday morning during the school year to help struggling students improve their math skills and enable them build confidence in their STEM potential. P.A.S.T.A. Director Sherry Fortier (right) played a major role in helping INMED launch its middle school math tutoring program.

P.A.S.T.A. also presented INMED’s Family & Youth Opportunity Center its very first Partner of the Year Award. P.A.S.T.A.’s volunteers have invested more service hours in INMED’s programs than any other community partner.
