INMED is privileged to have served on the steering committee of the Resilient Children, Resilient Loudoun initiative, led by Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) of Northern Virginia and supported by the Virginia Health Foundation. For the past year, a steering committee of public, private and nonprofit organizations that serve children and families in Loudoun County have shared their organizations’ experiences, conducted focus groups and analyzed surveys responses collected at three topical summits involving a broad range of Loudoun parents and providers. In the resulting report released last week, the steering committee explores what is working well in Loudoun County, what research says about creating resilient kids and families and recommendations for addressing unmet needs and harder-to-reach populations within the county.  (The cover features a photo of a group of children at last year’s summer camp at INMED.)
