Registration for free computer skills training at the Opportunity Center begins today! Administered by Computer C.O.R.E., the 6-month course offers college-level computer training and career development support to low-income adults in Northern Virginia. C.O.R.E. classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 pm at 21630 Ridgetop Circle, Suite 130 in Sterling.

Upon completion of the course, students will be proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 Programs MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. They also will receive extensive instruction in Internet and email use, typing, resume and cover letter writing, effective interviewing skills, goal setting and career advancement strategies.
