INMED’s Opportunity Center just received four vertical planters for our indoor aquaponics project! Donated by Loudoun County Health Department Director Dr. David Goodfriend, the aquaponics project will be used as a teaching tool for INMED’s after-school program. They will learn about health, nutrition, sanitation, and maybe even entrepreneurship. This micro-system is modeled after INMED’s highly successful large-scale aquaponics programs it has developed in Jamaica, South Africa and Peru.
