Helping a Family Find a Home and Happiness: Helping a Family Find a Home and Happiness
Brenda is a single mother of six children, who was forced into homelessness as a result of domestic violence. While seeking safe haven for her family at a local shelter, she was referred to INMED’s Opening Doors (homelessness intervention) program. When Brenda enrolled in INMED’s Opening Doors program, she was in desperate need of support, did not have a job or a car, and she was unfamiliar with the services in the community. Through intensive case management and moral support, INMED’s team worked diligently with her to develop job skills, financial management strategies, and other tools that lead her family to sustainable stability.
