Did you know that nearly 2,000 children and youth are homeless in Loudoun County? While they may not be living in county shelters, they are struggling to survive in unstable environments—sleeping on a friend’s couch one week and in a car the next week. These conditions lead to high drop-out rates and vulnerability to abuse, violence, drugs, teen pregnancy and worse.

At INMED’s Opportunity Center, we help stabilize families before they become homeless. We provide in-home services for families at imminent risk of homelessness as a result of job loss, family crisis or other dire circumstances to help them regain stability. Case managers connect low-income households with resources for employment, affordable child care and medical assistance, while helping them build new skills in saving, budgeting and life management.
