Women with culinary ambition are working their way toward professional food service jobs via the Mujer Unica cooking classes at the OC. Provided in partnership with Ekklesia USA Church, the classes are part of INMED’s skills development program to help low-income parents find higher-paying jobs and more meaningful work. The 10-week course includes lessons on safe food handling,, sanitation, nutrition and management. Students who pass the final exam on the last class will receive a certificate of food management, which will open the door to more lucrative opportunities in the food service industry.
