Floral Arrangement Class Graduates

Congratulations to the first graduates of the floral arrangement (the cooking class was suspended in the middle of the semester due to lack of participation)  course at INMED’s Opportunity Center. This 10-week Mujer Unica course, facilitated by Ekklesia USA, teaches  skills to help women acquire new job skills and advance their career opportunities (or something like that).. It’s one of several skills development courses provided by INMED’s Opportunity Center on Saturdays. For more information about this EKKLESIA USA program and other classes at the Center, contact Maria Vasquez at 703-729-4951.

Thankful Thursday

Thank you, Opportunity Center Trustee Wendell Chambliss and Freddie Mac for once again donating several months’ worth of snacks for INMED’s after-school program, along with beautiful toiletry packages for participants in our Healthy Families Loudoun program.

Does your company have a community outreach program? If so, please consider organizing an in-kind giving project for your employees or a volunteer day at our Family & Youth Opportunity Center in Sterling, VA. Contact Cecilia Capece at ccapece@inmed.org for details.
