INMED’s Healthy Families Loudoun program

INMED’s Healthy Families Loudoun program has been accredited by Healthy Families America (HFA) through December 2021. A program of Prevent Child Abuse America, HFA is a nationally recognized home visitation model to identify and prevent child abuse and neglect. HFA accreditation is an arduous process designed to recognize individual sites and multi-site systems that have achieved high standards for performance and a commitment to quality. “HFA is proud to grant Healthy Families Loudoun accreditation … and are honored to be associated with you and your colleagues,” noted Dan Duffy, President and CEO of Prevent Child Abuse America.

INMED Vice President of Development and Program Strategy Mary-Lynne Lasco was quick to offer her praise as well: “I know the depth of hard work and dedication this accreditation requires,” she said. “It really speaks to the quality and commitment of the whole team.” Kudos to Opportunity Center Director Maria Vasquez, Healthy Families Loudoun Supervisor Cecilia Diaz-Yap and their hard-working team for this well-deserved achievement!

Congratulations Dr. Linda Pfeiffer

Dr. Linda Pfeiffer, founder and CEO of INMED Partnerships for Children, was recognized for her many years of serving disadvantaged children and families in Loudoun County at last Thursday’s Community Leadership Awards. Sponsored by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the event honored business and nonprofit executives who go above and beyond to serve the community. Congratulations, Linda!

Keeping Families Together

Over the past 3 months, INMED’s case managers provided intensive home visiting and case management to 23 families and their 49 children to help them avoid becoming homeless. In addition to equipping parents with the tools to improve their financial management skills, INMED’s team helped parents improve their job skills, set goals for career advancement and implement other strategies to enable them to provide stable, nurturing environments for their children.  We’re happy to report that 100% of the program participants have remained in their homes.
